Irish Whiskey Museum Guided Tour & Tasting

About This Experience
The Irish Whiskey Museum sits on Grafton Street, opposite Trinity College in the heart of Dublin, and takes a refreshingly different approach to the whiskey experience. Unlike a single-distillery tour, the museum is entirely independent and brand-neutral, so instead of being sold one label you get to taste and compare competing whiskeys from distilleries all across Ireland and work out what you actually like.
The hour-long visit begins with a lively, guide-led storytelling show that walks you through the full history of Irish whiskey. Set across four themed rooms filled with authentic 19th-century memorabilia, entertaining storytellers reveal the spirit's humble origins as Gaelic uisce beatha, its rise to global glory, its dramatic fall, and the revival happening today. It is an interactive experience rather than a dry, self-guided museum.
The tour ends with a tutored tasting led by an experienced master whiskey taster. You choose your tier: sample 3 classic Irish whiskeys, or upgrade to 4 premium aged whiskeys. As you taste, your guide explains the subtle differences between each pour and helps you discover the flavours locked inside, giving beginners and seasoned drinkers alike an unbiased overview of Irish whiskey in a single sitting.

I came with my husband to do this tour and both of us agreed how good it was. Andrew our tour guide was funny and highly informative. It was good to learn the history of Irish whiskey and it was taught in a fun, interactive way. The tasting were good and it was a nice mix of new whisky that we had not come across. We would definitely come back.
